| S.A.T. INSTANT ADHESIVE/CYANOACRYLATES |
| |
S.A.T. instant adhesives are single component, fast fixturing and solvent free adhesives popularly known as “Superglues”. Our instant adhesives numbering system is designed to make product selection easier as our product numbers relate directly to the adhesive viscosity based on the traditional Centipois (cp) scale.
Example:
Water, low in viscosity, 1 to 5cp = S.A.T #5 low viscosity, penetrating CA
Corn Syrup or Honey at 2000 to 3000cp = S.AT. #2500 medium viscosity
Black Molasses at 5,000 to 10,000cp = S.A.T. #5,000 or Gel Bond #10,000
The adhesive viscosity also relates to both gap filling capabilities and time to develop initial strength. Thicker products will offer slightly slower set time.
Acidic surfaces tend to slow down the cure of cyanoacrylates. This contaminant can be overcome with the use of Superior Adhesive Technologies “Surface Insensitive” cyanoacrylate. This category of adhesives is able to neutralize and displace these acidic barriers and generate extremely strong bonds.
Our Toughened series of cyanoacrylate adhesives are best suited for thermal cycling, vibration or impact resistance.
Low bloom and low frost CA’s are also available. |

| ANAEROBIC ADHESIVES |
| |
Designed for use in metal assemblies, these resins become active in the absence of air. Typical applications include the prevention of fastener loosening.
Other common uses are for cylindrical retaining applications. Examples of this can be observed when needing to secure a bearing onto a metal shaft or a bearing into a motor housing. These retaining resins will improve any metal cylindrical joint design. |
